Inputs are not stored by Useful Atlas. QR payloads, images, filenames, and camera frames are not sent to QR Studio analytics.
Static QR codes with a review step
QR Studio creates static payloads. The content is embedded directly in the QR code, so Useful Atlas does not add a redirect, shortened URL, tracking destination, or editable cloud record.
The generator supports URL, plain text, Wi-Fi, vCard contact, email, and SMS payloads. It exports PNG and SVG with a protected quiet zone, selectable size, foreground and background colors, and QR error-correction levels L, M, Q, and H.
After generation, the local decoder checks whether the PNG resolves to the exact intended payload. That round-trip is a useful reliability check, not a guarantee that every camera, print surface, color combination, or damaged code will scan.
Safety boundaries
- No automatic navigation: decoded content is shown before any action.
- Local facts only: the inspector parses schemes, hostnames, user information, ports, paths, query strings, fragments, and IDN forms without a reputation lookup.
- Explicit camera access: permission is requested only after Start camera, and tracks stop after success, Stop, reset, or page hiding.
- Bounded images: PNG, JPEG, and WebP input is limited to 15 MB and 24 megapixels.
Reader and inspector limitations
Image and camera decoding happen in this browser tab. QR Studio never automatically opens decoded URLs and does not perform remote malware, phishing, blocklist, or reputation checks.
HTTPS means the connection can be encrypted; it does not prove that a site is trustworthy. Punycode and internationalized domain names are displayed in normalized and Unicode forms because either form can be legitimate or misleading depending on context.
Customization and scan reliability
Dark modules on a light background are the safest default. Low contrast, small print, glare, damaged surfaces, excessive resizing, and poor camera focus can reduce reliability even when local round-trip verification passes.
Higher error correction can recover from more damage but reduces payload capacity. QR Studio keeps the quiet zone and enforces the selected level's byte-mode capacity limit.
